About Jill Fieldstein

Jill learned the meaning of hard work from her father, a Korean War veteran and hardware store owner who reluctantly retired at the age of 85. He taught her that working hard at what you love is not work at all. It is a legacy that has served her well as she pursued one demanding career after another.

Jill worked in television news for nearly two decades, and then established a career as a lawyer, specializing in securities regulation. She also worked at the Dutchess County Board of Elections gaining beneficial knowledge about running free and fair elections. She is currently the business manager for a Dutchess-based not-for-profit organization.

Jill lives on a farm in Dover Plains where her husband runs a hunting preserve. When not working or hiking with her dog, Freddie, Jill volunteers with the Auxiliary to Dover’s volunteer fire company and serves as the Treasurer for the Dutchess Democratic Women’s Caucus and the Chair of the Dover Democratic Committee. She was also a founding member of Solutions for a Better Dover, a group that ran a successful shop local campaign, promoted local businesses during the pandemic and established a farmer’s market.

Jill is ready to bring the tenacity and grit her father taught her long ago to serving the people of the 105th Assembly District.

"Jill Fieldstein has been a tireless advocate for the residents of Dutchess County for many years. Behind the scenes, she has fought for important democratic values that make our communities better."
